Brooklyn's Birthday party!

Sweet Brooklyn had her 4th birthday party over the weekend.  The birthfamily came into town to help celebrate.  Over the weekend we played outside, went to Rigby Lake and the girls got to sleepover in Graypa Nate's RV.  What a fun weekend!

I can't believe I have a 4-year-old.  Brooklyn is such a special little girl.  I remember being in the hospital room for 1 whole day with the birthmom just anticipating her birth.  I remember crying when I saw her for the first time.  She was beautiful.  She still is beautiful.  Brooklyn is such an even tempered kid.  Most kids can play with her without any disputes or arguments.  She truly was blessed with the talent of being a peacemaker.  She is also very obedient.  She loves to earn her beans by doing nice things.  Brooklyn loves to dance and sing.  Rarely an hour goes by where she doesn't break into song with a tune and lyrics that I have never heard of.  She is very spiritual.  She loves reading the scriptures and learning about the prophets.  She just yearns to learn.  Brooklyn loves to play in the dirt and collect bugs and just be outside.  We love you Brooklyn.  Happy 4th Birthday!

***Ok, so I am not going private.  I emailed most of you the information (wink wink) so that you had the info.

The North Slope & the Tundra

This is Tom posting...Here are a few pictures from Alaska's North Slope, where Tom is working.  The first picture is from the same place that he did the polar bear swim, yes those are big icebergs in the ocean. The next one is him and Dan Morton, his coworker. Following that is a picture of a drill rig used to drill new wells for oil. Then there are a bunch of pics of Caribou or as the girls call them "Santa's Reindeer". I also posted a couple of pics of the place where we live while we are up there. The big orange wing is where i stay.  This place is roughly a 1200 bed facility and currently we are maxed out at about 1175 due to some remodeling going on in one of the wings. so its pretty cramped. The last picture is one i see often, Caribou like to wander under the buildings to get out of the sun and away from the mosquitoes.

Boise Grayma's visit and more fun with cousins

I love this picture because ALL of the kids were gathered around the baby.  They are drawn to her.
Right before church.  It sure was great having Boise Grayma come with us.
I know, goofball outfit.  I just had to put her in it just once.  I have pictures of Kenzie and Brooklyn in the same outfit.
My Mom brought some expired pop with her from Boise so that the kids could shake them up and let them explode.  They had a lot of fun having a water fight with pop!
Kenzie loves to hold "my baby sister".  She insists on seeing her and holding right when she wakes up in the morning.
This is jail.  We play this game where I send them to jail and then I bring them jail food (which is a treat)  They love this game.

Splash Park

When my Mom was here a couple of weeks ago we all went to the splash park.  As you can see, all of the cousins and kids had a lot of fun.  I was very surprised but Kenzie was pretty scared and Brooklyn was all in.  Go figure.  It is usually the opposite.
