Kenzie loves to bite her "wankie" as she calls it.
This picture was taken right after we got to our camp spot. The girls loved to explore. It was a pretty cool camp spot. It had a river a little bit away and some cool little walking pathes. 
We went to West Yellowstone the night we got there. We have kind of a family tradition where if there is music...we dance. This is Brooklyn and Tom dancing in a shop. 
They said they were taking a nap.
They wanted to see the bears.
Brooklyn LOVES painting so we brought our watercolors with us and she painted rocks. This is something I grew up doing.
Nothing better than a shovel and some dirt. 
Kenzie kept carrying these HUGE rocks and putting them in her bucket. She's one buff chick!
She told us that she was just resting.

Brooklyn kept telling us that she wanted her picture taken. When we got our camera out she got all posed and would say cheese.
We went on a 1 mile hike down to some falls. What a hike back up!
There were some cool teeter totters at this little camping area we stopped at to eat. The kids played on them for a good hour.
Kenzie was buddies with their 7-year-old boy named Kelten. She kept giving him kisses and wanted to hold his hand. They did a lot together. Kelten always made sure Kenzie was helped with everything. Kenzie was sad to see him go. She kept waving to him and said she wanted her friend to come too.

We had a buffalo right by the bathrooms. We were like 20 feet away. 
She is sooooo dirty...I love it!
Brooklyn is our little soap nazi. She likes to be clean. This picture is peeerrfffect. Way to go Tom.
Kenzie kissing the kids...she was very silly that night. I think that the later it gets, the funnier things are to her. She was wired!
Last weekend we went camping at Island Park then we drove into Yellowstone. The sweet part about where we live is that it only took us an hour and a half to get there! We went with Tom's old boss, Mike, and his kids. The girls loved it! Brooklyn bawled when we left Yellowstone because she wanted to see more animals. Kenzie was just content eating snacks. Each night we did some dutch oven cooking then roasted marshmallows. The second night, in the middle of the night, Brooklyn said, "Mom, I'm done. I want to go to Brooklyn's bed." I guess the air mattress that kept deflating wasn't working for her. Actually, both of our mattresses died on us. Man! However, well worth it! It was great to be in the outdoors and see the stars. ohhhhh I love camping. I can't wait to go again.
First of all, the girls are going to HATE you for posting the pictures of them on the toilet. Other than that, the rest of your pictures really captured the essence of your girls and I loved it. The one of Brooklyn "resting" is precious and the pictures of you and Kenzie together are too cute. I sure miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun family vacation! We did this last year, but not to the extent of fun you guys had! I giggled over many pictures, I can just see their personalities and they are so cute. :)
