Our 4th in our NEW town

Brooklyn was TERRIFIED when gun shots went off in some confederate soldiers guns. She kept wanting to hide. This is the spot she found. She kept looking over to see if they were gone. I don't blame her! She did this, too, during the fireworks. She soon warmed up to the fireworks once she saw that everyone else was having a good time.

Ya, I am a little delayed on posting what we did for our 4th. Better late than never, right?! We've just been soooo busy this summer that I can't seem to find enough time to post all that we have done. We went camping at Island Park this last weekend and went into Yellowstone. Plus, we just got back from Rigby Lake. We went for the day with my sister and her kids. So, I have a bunch more pictures to post!

For the 4th we went with my sister and her kids to the Idaho Falls parade. It was a lot of fun. At around 7pm I decided to go to the store and I guess this town shuts down at 6pm because the 4th is a MAJOR holiday! There were hardly any cars on the road. That was kinda strange. We would have done the whole bbq thing, but Tom was working and we don't know anyone here so...next year for sure. So, around 9pm we parked at the temple and met up with our good friends from Utah (the Larsen's and Casey's). I wish I got some pics of that because we it was great to be with friends and the fireworks were amazing. The town brags that they have the best fireworks this side of the Mississsippi. I totally believe it because they were LONG and AMAZING with music, to boot. A great 4th, once again. I love this holiday!
