This year, I made some Halloween bags for the girls and their cousins, Hailee and Justin. This was my first time making a bag like this so I was pretty pleased with myself.

Brooklyn (elephant), Hailee (butterfly), Annie (Hailee's friend, witch), Kenzie (giraffe), Justin (dinosaur)

Kenzie checking out all of the candy.

Kenzie. Every piece of candy that she received she wanted to either eat it, lick it, or check it out before it went into her bag. So, I have to explain...earlier that day Kenzie got black marker all over her face, hands, and little body. I tried to wipe it off before we put her costume on, but to no avail. So, I took some eyeliner and tried to hide the marker. Kenzie is a piece of work. Why am I not surprised that something like this would happen. :)

Brooklyn. She was pretty scared by all of the costumes so she pretty much stuck to my hip the entire night.

Kenzie was our little giraffe and Brooklyn was an elephant. I wanted to being a zoo keeper, but ran out of time to create the costume.

Brittney, myself, Brooklyn and Kenzie

Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Hailee and Justin...I like Kenzie's and Hailee's smiles in this pick. Hailee looks all sweet and Kenzie looks like she is up to something.

Trick-or-treating at our neighbors home. Kenzie was familiar with this neighbor so as soon as the door opened she walked right in. We only hit maybe a handful of our friend's homes because after trunk-or-treating...our bags were full!

Checking out the loot. This was always my favorite part of Halloween. We would sort them out according to kinds then count them. It was a process.
For Halloween this year we had a lot of fun! On the DAY of Halloween we carved pumpkins, made haunted houses, went trunk-or-treating, went trick-or-treating, and then had birthday cake! Phew! So, I decided I would break up this fabulous holiday into a 2-part blog post. Plus, this weekend the Stufflebeams (birthfamily) came to visit us! I have another post dedicated to our adventures there. We had a busy, yet fun, Halloween weekend!
You'll have to teach me how to make those bags, I'm so impressed! What a cute crew you had for Halloween! Hope you had a good birthday also!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the face Kenzie is making in that picture. I think it describes her perfectly:)
ReplyDeleteLove the costumes!! I tried to make Rachel wear that exact giraffe costume, but she refused. Both girls look so cute in their costumes.
