Something special happened today...





Tom got a perm in this picture.








Tom is 32 today! I can't believe I married such an older man! I feel so blessed to have Tom in my life. Here are 32 facts you probably didn't know about Tom. I know he is going love that I posted this on our blog for the world to see...

1. Tom burned down a barn at the age of 5.
2. He was left at McDonald's at the age of 2 and stuttered for many months after that experience.
3. Tom's favorite color is orange.
4. Tom's favorite thing to do (besides being with his family) is fishing.
5. Tom is an Industrial Hygienist.
6. He graduated from Utah State University with a Degree in Public Health and a minor in Chemistry.
7. Tom served an LDS mission in Las Vegas, Nevada.
8. Tom's favorite place to vacation would either be Alaska or Hawaii.
9. Tom's favorite foods are a good hamburger, maple nut or rocky road ice cream, and a Mtn. Dew.
10. Tom has lived in 6 different states. Iowa, North Dakota, Utah, Alaska, Idaho, Nevada
11. Tom has caught a 42 lb. King Salmon.
12. He loves the outdoors. He loves to camp, fish, 4-wheel, snowmobile, mountain bike, and just be in nature.
13. Tom milked a goat and cows when he was younger. Tom has what I call "milk muscles".
14. Tom was a fish guide in Alaska for 3 summers.
15. Tom was engaged to someone else before he married me. :)
16. Tom and I were married in the Boise, Idaho Temple for time and all eternity.
17. Tom is the only boy in his family with 5 sisters!
18. Tom's middle name is Glen. He was named after his uncle that passed away.
19. He has crooked toes.
20. He snores.
21. Tom would love to have horses one day.
22. Tom's current church calling is a ward missionary.
23. Tom was a major tease to his sister's when he was younger...and now too!
24. Tom's favorite holiday is Christmas. He loves to hang the lights, go to Festival of Trees, decorate the tree, make caramels, chocolates and candy, and everything that goes along with Christmas.
25. When I want something super cleaned I have Tom do it. He is very detail-oriented and does an amazing job. Ya, it may take him hours just to do one task, but it is done well.
26. Tom would do anything for anyone. He is very service-oriented.
27. Tom is very handy. If he needs something built or fixed then he can usually figure it out. He has built amazing shelves in our garage and numerous other projects around the house.
28. He is an excellent Priesthood holder in our home. Anytime I need a blessing, he is always ready and willing. He has such faith. He is always telling me that I shouldn't worry because the Lord knows our needs.
29. Tom was a cowboy all through high school. He dressed in wranglers, a cowboy hat, and boots.
30. He dislikes cleaning, yard work, mushrooms, beans, reading, sitting around at home, and people that are lazy.
31. He would rather live in a cooler climate than a warmer climate.
32. He is someone whom we love dearly and feel blessed to have in our lives.

  1. I especially agree with #26. Tom is ALWAYS willing to drop whatever he is doing and help somebody else. Tom's service-oriented attitude has been such a blessing to us and we're lucky Tom is in the family. Happy Birthday Tom!
